The prices were so competitive John Jones GM City in Salem became known as the Discount Outlet by the mid-1980's. The Discount Outlet approach continued to grow. In 1991, John Jones GM City opened its second location at 1735 Gardner Lane in Corydon, Indiana and in December 2001, a third location opened on Hwy 31 North in Scottsburg, Indiana.
