SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (Nov. 6, 2006) – R. L. Polk & Co. today announced the appointment of Alice Miles as vice president, global data acquisition. In this role, Miles will be responsible for managing and facilitating ongoing data acquisition efforts worldwide. Miles will report to Pat Barrett, senior vice president – business development, government relations and legal services.

“With nearly 30 years in automotive supply chain management and information technology, Alice’s knowledge and experience will benefit Polk greatly,” said Barrett. “Her skills in thought leadership, global business strategy development and the creation of data-driven automotive solutions are key assets she brings to the company.”

Prior to joining Polk, Miles served as director, corporate business strategy for Ford Motor Company. While at Ford, she led global and regional business studies, managed competitive research of global automotive markets and developed board-level strategic plans. From 2000-2002, Miles also served as co-CEO of Covisint, an automotive industry Internet exchange.

Miles is active in the community as a member of Gleaners Community Food Bank Board of Directors and the Wayne State University School of Liberal Arts and Science Board of Visitors. Miles has received many awards during her career, including Crain’s Detroit Business Newsmakers of the Year (2000) and was named one of Automotive News 100 Leading Women (2000).
